2Co 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
2Co 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2Co 10:6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
This past week, I concluded a lengthy series of messages entitled, “THE BATTLE”. It was a study on spiritual warfare from Ephesians Chapter 6. In the concluding message, I taught on the subject of “Overcoming Strongholds” in the Christian life. We all have strongholds that Satan has fortified in our lives, but Christ’s sufficiency has ALREADY given us overcoming power to get victory AND live in victory!

I recently finished reading through the book of Esther as part of our annual Bible reading schedule here at Grace. What a powerful story of faith and victory. The story of Esther and Mordecai’s faith and courage is a true inspiration for us all. As I was reading through this small Old Testament book, I was reminded and challenged, once again, that even when threatened with the greatest of perils, God is still in control and He can still perform miracles.

Ministry really is a puzzle on a magnificent scale. Putting the pieces in order AND keeping each of those pieces together can be challenging at times, especially if you have a multifaceted ministry. Pieces of that puzzle include daily time with God in prayer and study, preparing messages, various administrative duties, finances, staff meetings, soulwinning, visitation, counseling, and the list goes on and on. I can also say that having a Christian school multiplies that list threefold.
One of the biggest parts of succeeding in ministry is learning how to bring all of the pieces of the ministry puzzle together in oneness and unity to accomplish the greater purpose of reaching the lost.
