This has definitely been a most unique year starting on Christmas Sunday.  Since Christmas morning we have seen God giving the increase in many ways to our church, yet not without challenges.  Building and blessings do not come without battles, yet God has blessed us with people being saved, baptized, and joining the church family every single week so far this year.

I write this article, because I believe what God is doing is the direct result of one simple, yet powerful truth.  Our theme this year, STILL CHURCH, purposely emphasizes the fact that we are, “proudly” (in the proper sense), still a New Testament, local church that refuses to bow the knee at the altar of culture and relevance.  We are still a church that believes in the preimmenence of the preaching of the Gospel.  We are still a church that believes that worship is not to be man-ward entertainment, but God-ward reverence.  Finally, we are a still a church that believes that door to door soulwinning is God’s plan for reaching our community.

While some churches are opening tattoo parlors inside their buildings (you heard me right), we believe the Bible has the answers to life’s problems. People don’t want more of the same, they want to know TRUTH, not relevant truth, not modern truth, not watered down truth, not hip truth, JUST TRUTH!

May we strive to please God by doing His work, His way and remain faithful to Scriptural principles that helped the early church turn the world upside down.  Pray that God will continue to bless us as me continue to grow in grace together.
