Php 1:3  I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
Php 1:4  Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
Php 1:5  For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
Next week is Thanksgiving, of course, and I want to take a moment and with all of you a Happy Thanksgiving to your family from my family.  I trust that your time together with family and friends will be blessed and refreshing.

Someone said, “Thinkfulness is thankfulness”.That is what the Apostle Paul speaks of as he greets the church at Phillipi in his opening remarks.  I as think about the multitude of blessings in my life, one of those wonderful blessings is honor of serving Christ and His church.  God has been good to our church this past year and I am thankful for that as I look back on the year.

I pulled out the file from last year’s Vision Banquet and reviewed the goals that we presented by God’s leadership.  I am thankful to say that God has enabled us to accomplish most of these goals, and the years not over yet, praise the Lord!  If we would have only accomplished one of these goals, we would still have much to be thankful for.

The greatest blessing, however, is not the things God has allowed to accomplish for His glory in our church, but rather the privilege of the fellowship that we have together as God’s chosen people.  The new relationships of families that have been saved or joined the church.  These are the things that bring the greatest value to life.  I thank God for YOU; your friendship and fellowship.

I am convinced that God is just preparing us for what lies ahead.  I am trusting Him to make our church a great citadel of the Gospel for the years to come.  May the Lord bless your family with an encouraging time with family and friends next week.
